Rarely does the "Sure Thing" go as planned.... the Shell Scott Series is a hoot and a lot of fun. Shell is like Jim Rockford only a little quicker to throw some fists or let some bullets fly. Prather has a style that is addictive. He knows how to make you laugh out loud . They tend to move a little faster than Travis Mcgee another one of my favorite P.I. book series. The Sure Thing was one of the later efforts from Prather and it sports a Sweet...Robert MaGuire cover.
