60's Television Greatness...BURKE'S LAW

BURKE'S LAW...Every episode starts the same... with a murder. Amos Burke is usually with a babe in his mansion. He will get the call to come to the crime scene. He will then get Henry, his man servant to get the Bentley and away we go.

the Late Gene Berry was so good in this show. He has Family Wealth and works as the Chief of Homicide in L.A. CA. Every once and a while he will have some quote like "the sky is blue and people are gonna kill"... Burke's Law.  That not really one of them... they come at you when your not expecting them and then all of a sudden...He says...BURKE'S LAW and you realize you just got educated.

Det. Tim Tilson played by Gary Conway (who would later work as a little person in Land of the Giants) was a friggin' know it all in the show, but likable.

the series is a parade of 60's television stars. Barbra Eden played a smirky snob in one episode.
The Beautiful,  Eileen O'Neill played Sergeant Ames..always quick to help Amos with anything he may need including going undercover...

Later he would be Amos Burke Secret Agent for the 3rd season.
I have been watching 1st season episodes just about every night. I am really enjoying this show. Harlan Ellison writes some of the episodes.
