The Wolf's Hour : Robert McCammon - 1989

Got turned on to this book back in the mid 90s.
I thought it sounded interesting, an Allied spy who
could turn into a wolf while fighting Nazi's in WWII.

The story is told in 2 parts. One where, Michael Gallatin is young and
going through the process that turns him into a wolf . The other part is
Gallatin fighting the Nazi's as he tries to discover the mega threat
secret weapon the Nazi's are working on to change the winds of war into
Hitlers favor.

Subterranean Press issued a new limited edition copy of the book in 2010. It sold out quickly and demands a hefty price if you can find it. There are reviews on the net for this book and some (as often is the case) are harsh, trying to pick apart stuff that is present in any offering where suspension of  belief is needed. It's a fun romp. I like to re-read it every few years.

McCammon  released a follow up Short Story volume in 2011 and it shows some of Michael's adventures before and after the events of his classic The Wolf's Hour.
